OnlineNepal.Net is a trademark of Online Nepal Remittance Service that provides U.S. consumers aged 18 and over with the ability to send money at OnlineNepal.Net with any U.S. bank account or any U.S. Visa® or MasterCard® credit or debit card.
2. How does OnlineNepal.Net work?
You must verify your identity and register your information, as well as the information of your designated beneficiary/recipient. You must correctly enter your active bank active account, credit or debit card information and indicate the amount to be sent. Upon verification of your identity and credit card approval, the transaction is confirmed and processed for delivery according to your instructions.
3. How do I send funds online?
New users can easily register for a free account at OnlineNepal.Net. If you are already a registered user, simply login to your account with your unique username (email address) and password. Review our Terms and Conditions and decide whether you want to proceed. If you agree with the terms and conditions, a calculator or a "Send Money" link will appear on the top right hand corner. Choose a recipient from the list you added before or you may add a new recipient. Choose a payment method from the list you added before or you may add a new payment method. Currently we are accepting ACH (Automated Clearing House) internet check, credit or debit card. You may also type a message intended for your Beneficiary/recipient in the space provided. Review your transaction for accuracy and accept. Finally, print your receipt and with the Reference Number for your reference.
4. Which country can I send money to?
Money remittance service is available for delivery throughout Nepal.
5. Where can I send money from?
With OnlineNepal.Net, you can send money from any computer in the United States that has internet access and a web browser that supports 128-bit encryption.
6. How can I pay?
We accept all Bank accounts active in USA and US Visa® and MasterCard® credit/debit cards
7. What's the transaction limit?
You may send up to $7,500.00 (USD) remittance by ACH internet check and $500 (USD) by credit or debit cards. However, your identity has to be verified first. Verification of your identity takes place after you place your first order.

9. How is the exchange rate determined?
The actual exchange rate will be determined at the time of delivery according to the rate guidance provided by the Central Bank of Nepal (Nepal Rastra Bank).
10. What currency is used?
Currency accepted from the sender is in U.S. Dollars. Delivery of funds in Nepal is made in Nepali Rupees.
11. How does beneficiary/recipient receive money?
Home Delivery - Money is delivered within 3 full business days since the confirmation of the transaction. There are no deliveries made on Sundays, U.S. holidays and Nepal holidays. First time customers may notice a delay due to verification delays. Please contact our customer support to expedite your verification if you are a first time customer.
Bank Deposit - Bank account in Nepal is credited with the funds within 3 full business days from the time the transaction is received, Mondays-Fridays, except on bank holidays. Beneficiary/recipient may inquire or verify from his/her bank regarding the deposit credit made to the account. Passbook can be updated for those with savings account.
Pickup - Beneficiary is notified by phone to pick up the funds in check or cash from the nearest OnlineNepal.Net location. Beneficiary is also required to bring government issued identification (ID).
VISA Electron Debit Card – Funds can be deposited in Visa Electron Debit Card.
12. How are remittances paid out to beneficiary/recipient?
In most cases, money remittance is paid out in cash or check as instructed. Direct deposits are made directly to the bank account at the instructed branch.
13. What kind of identification must beneficiary/recipient present?
At least two (2) valid photo identification with signature is required. IDs accepted are Driver's License, Passport, photo-bearing Credit Card, Citizenship card.
14. How do I check the status of my remittance?
OnlineNepal.Net will automatically send you an email when the money is delivered to your beneficiary/recipient. You may also login to our website and go to "My Account" and see the status of the current and past transactions at the bottom of that page.

16. How do I report a problem?
If you are an existing customer, send us an email or call us. We are available 24 hours a day 6 days a week.
17. Why won't my credit card process?
Your address must match exactly with the address on your credit card statement and on file with your credit card issuing bank. Our system will verify this address to protect you from credit card fraud -- if the address does not match exactly, your order will not be processed to protect you from fraud.
18. What are verified by Visa and Master Card Secure Code?
As a Visa or Master Card holder, you have an option to sign up with Verified by Visa or Master Card Secure Code, programs established by those companies to minimize and eliminate the risk of fraudulent use online. Verified by Visa and Master Card Secure Code offers card holders an extra layer of fraud protection by having you enter an additional password before an online transaction can be completed.
If you are making a payment with OnlineNepal.Net online using a credit card issued by a bank not in the U.S., or if you are a resident of a country other than the U.S., you must enroll with Verified by Visa or Master Card Secure Code in order for OnlineNepal.Net to process your credit card transaction. By requiring this extra layer of security, we can better ensure that we do not process a transaction not initiated by you.
19. How do I login if I forgot my password?
If you forgot your password, click "Forgot Password?" You will be asked to provide your email you selected at the time of registration. Upon verification of your email, your password will be emailed to you at the email address of record.
20. How do I change information in my user account?
Login to your account and click the "Edit Profile".
21. What hours is the online remittance service available?
OnlineNepal.Net is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week (24/7). Transactions cut off time is 2PM Mondays-Fridays (Eastern Time) except during U.S. holidays.
22. What restrictions are applicable in money remittance transactions?
OnlineNepal.Net prohibits the use of its money transfer services to directly or indirectly fund illegal activities including but not limited to money laundering, support of terrorist activities, fraudulent sales, solicitations, or theft. In compliance with the law, we are required to gather additional information in certain transactions that meet the criteria of corresponding regulations. For new customers, we may require a clear and legible copy of your valid photo ID to be emailed, faxed, or mailed to us before your transaction can be processed for delivery.
23. How do I change or update my remittance once the transaction has been submitted?
If you realize that you provided incorrect information, such as your beneficiary’s name and address, or the bank account number where your remittance should be deposited, please contact OnlineNepal.Net as soon as possible. If the information has not been transmitted yet, OnlineNepal.Net can amend your information without any additional fees. If the information has already been transmitted, a fee of $9.99 is charged to cover costs incurred by OnlineNepal.Net to amend the information, such as bank fees and delivery agent fees.
24. Do you do home delivery?
Yes, OnlineNepal.Net can deliver funds to your recipient’s home in the Greater Kathmandu Valley, but if it is your first transfer with OnlineNepal.Net, then your recipient will have to come to our office in Dilli Bazar, Kathmandu and present an identification card and be willing to be photographed for digital confirmation.
25. Can you deposit funds directly into my recipient's account in Nepal?
Yes, OnlineNepal.Net can deposit funds directly into your recipient's account in any Bank anywhere in Nepal but if it is your first transfer with OnlineNepal.Net, then your recipient will have to come to our office in Dilli Bazar, Kathmandu and present an identification card and be willing to be photographed for digital confirmation. Recipients living outside of Kathmandu Valley will have to fax his/her identification to our Kathmandu office.
26. What is Online Nepal Visa Electron Debit Card?
Breaking the traditional way of receiving funds in Nepal, ONLINENEPAL now provides VISA Electron ATM cards to its customers in Nepal in Partnership with Kumari Bank Limited. Customers receiving money in Nepal can now withdraw funds using VISA Electron Reloadable Cards. The Recipients will get a reusable VISA Electron ATM Card which they simply load with money by making transactions through our Partner Remittance Companies. The money can then be withdrawn from 122 ATM locations in Nepal.
Picking up funds from Physical Locations in Nepal has become very risky to the Recipients. Looking at the current security situation of Nepal, the ATM card will help minimize the risk. The VISA Electron ATM Remittance Card will work like a traditional ATM Debit Card, but without a credit line. Instead, the money will be loaded in customer's card after a Remittance Fund is sent for any particular Recipient in Nepal. The card will help simplify life of our Recipients in Nepal and ease away the hassle of travelling to physical pick up locations.
27. How will my beneficiary/recipient get the Visa Electron Debit Card?

- Once your recipient signs up for our ATM Card by filling an application form, providing us with a copy of passport size photograph, copy valid ID; we provide the VISA Card along with information leaflet and a welcome pack containing a Personal Identification Number (PIN) instantly
- Once your recipient receives the VISA Debit Card, the card number will be automatically updated in the system and will be notified to you over email or phone.
- Your recipient can withdraw the cash they need and keep the balance secure on the card.
